Stay away from restaurants filled with customers before 7:00 p.m. as they are most likely tourist traps. Most authentic Italian restaurants do not open until 7:30 p.m., and customers slowly trickle in beginning at 8:00 p.m.

The best restaurants are not typically the most expensive, and will tend to be crowded. Your hotel should be able to help you make reservations a few days before.
