Deciding whether to use a tour company is such a personal decision. In this post I am only referring to the use of a tour company for your entire trip. I will address using tour companies for day trips in a separate post.

What do you want from your holiday in Italy? My husband and I wanted to immerse ourselves in the Italian culture, and not travel by bus from one major sight to the next. We wanted to enjoy leisurely walks, romantic dinners, and fine wine, all without feeling rushed.

It took me over a year to plan our 16 day holiday, and I almost snapped under the pressure! Many times I felt extremely confused and overwhelmed. I came very close to calling a tour company, but we are elated that I held strong. Every moment of my effort paid off. The research has already been completed if you plan to visit Venice, Florence, Siena, Cinque Terre, and Rome, and I am happy to share. Ciao, ciao!
